As a family please know that it meant the world to us to know that Dad was so loved by all staff at Trinity Manor. He spoke so highly of you all. He enjoyed his chats with you, George very much.
It was so hard for him to be away from mum, and for me to know of his unhappiness with this, but the staff at TM made all the difference, and became his family too.
I was very moved by how moved they were to hear of his death. Mohan from the kitchen came up three times to see us. Rose and Celia were absolutely fabulous always. They were the essence of care, professionalism and warmth. It’s clear they loved him and I can tell you he loved them too. And they cared as much for mum and me at that terrible time as they did for Dad.
He loved all his carers. He always said, “She/He is lovely isn’t s/he?”
And Yelena has been nothing short of fabulous in her care for Dad and all his whims, including computer problems.
When Annie and I researched nursing homes in preparation for Dad’s potential move into one (the year before he actually did) we had chosen one and almost didn’t come to visit Trinity.
Thank God we did, because within minutes of meeting you all, it went to the top of the list.
My experience with Trinity Manor has been very positive. From Mum’s initial admission for respite to transferring to permanent care the service, process and paperwork were relatively easy. Mum and our family have found the staff caring and responsive and most importantly Mum is currently happy, feels safe and engaged in activities most days. She’s enjoying the meals and her new room. All of these things are important to us as a family.
